Who we are
Not long ago, during a robbery, my dog Perdita escaped from her harness, collar, and carseat and got lost in a very busy city. We were traveling, so she was lost in a city we were not familiar with.
We immediately extended our trip and went to local print shops to make copies of a '‘lost dog” flyer I quickly put together. This was a completely new experience for us, and we were just doing whatever we could think of. My dad flew in to help us look for her, and family that lived locally drove hours to help us cover more area. Some wonderful resources were brought to our attention from kind strangers on the internet, and we were able to revise and replace the flyers we originally made and distributed.
If it weren’t for the support of local residents, organizations like PawBoost, and local shelters, finding our girl could have been a much longer, more difficult process. With a combination of some caring people who noticed she was lost and some others who recognized her from the flyer, we were able to get back to her. My family and I are forever grateful.
That’s why we are committed to donating part of our profits to different organizations that help lost pets find their way home or help animals without families get adopted. All of our products are handmade by myself (a.k.a. Perdy’s mom).
Everyone is welcome and only kindness is allowed here at Perdita’s Place.
Please note: we are currently donating to organizations that are helping pets who have been injured or displaced by the L.A. fires.
